Waiting for the next step

Strike rate still at 15% and ROI 20%. Bank has doubled but progress is slow at the moment.

Progress

Strike rate not good at 15% ,but ROI is at 22%.
Winner today was overdue but encouraging signs.

Looking good

Finished yesterday with 15/1 winner on betfair, now looking more as I want it to be.

More of the same

Finished today with an 11/1 winner and showing 14% ROI.
Onward to the next day with more all weather racing to make selections easier.

Back in the groove

Have been away from Betfair for almost 2 months due to a the sudden onset of high blood pressure. Hopefully now under control. Was struggling to get any winners this month but bounced back today with 2 winners and am now back in the black.
Planning to stay there.

Some progress

Have managed to get ROI of 16% on strike rate of 16%. These figures can be improved. The place bets are >60% so a small change of fortune would have greatly increased the ROI. Am still awaiting the all weather racing to return as this is where I seem to operate more effectively

At last going forward

Started on Betfair on 22nd April and for first 13 bets only had 1 return ( a place bet). Today had the 1st winner and am now showing a profit. Could this be the start of a profitable time?

Crossroads

Seems to me that there must be some basic actions which are being done differently over the past 2 months to explain the loss of form on the OLBG tipsters site. Could be the lack of all weather racing from which most of my bets were made over the past year or lack of focus due to my intention of going onto Betfair. I think the time has come to make the leap into the unknown and join up on Betfair.
This will mean taking real risks and poses the threat of losing real money.
For the present I will wind down my actions on OLBG.

Long losing run

Since 29th March have had 16 losers, the longest run for 12 months. I am trying to establish the reason for this. Possible causes are the lack of all weather racing fixtures from where most of my bets come and not enough focus on the task. Also don't feel too happy to be dropped off the Pro list on OLBG site as I had 10 consecutive months winning LSP up to end Feb. Might take a short break from this tipping lark!

These things happen

Well down the Pro horse racing league this month on OLBG tipsters site. No apparent explanation for this dip in form at the moment, just have to improve next month. In the bigger picture 10 from 11 months LSP is better than I expected and no reason to vary the way I am currently selecting my bets.

Back on track

Was having some problems with a trojan on my blogs over the weekend.  Might be why I had a series of 9 losers but that ended today with a 22/1 winner at Southwell (best price I could get 10 minutes  before the race was 16/1). Should now move back to the top 6 in Pro Tipsters league on OLBG website. Must not let internet hackers and such pests interfere with the task of finding winners.

Winner

Ended month of February in 2nd place on Pro Tipsters league on OLBG site with LSP £24.10. Have now earned £75 from this experience without risking any hard earned and might soon move on to another challenge.
At the 3rd of March was in 1st place but have slipped down the league due to some poor selections, will need to improve.

Almost perfect

From my calculations I have finished the month in 2nd place in the Pro tipsters league on the OLBG website with LSP of £24.10 to earn £50. This has yet to be verified.  I was in 4th place up to the last race at Fontwell where my only bet for the day obliged at 5/2.
Could have been in 1st place but was too late with my inputting for the 4.55 race at Kempton, which was a 9/2 winner. Cant win them all!

Sunday, 14 February 2010

Looking good

A second run of 7 losers was halted by 14/1 winner Dhhamaan at Wolverhampton and followed with 6/1 winner Don Pele on Sunday 14th This should move me up to 3rd in the Pro Punters league on OLBG  website.
Pity this is not for real, but hopefully this will happen in the near future.

Slow start for Feb

After 7 consecutive losers in February got back in grove with 12/1 winner Gallox Bridge on Sunday. Monday's 3 bets were below average and produced only a place at 16/1.
Have moved into top 6 from a lowly 35th and need to keep in focus to stay there.
Have been showing level stake profit now for last 10 months on Pro Tipsters league on OLBG tipsters site.
This has been going better than I anticipated

Another step

Managed to get 9/2 on winner yesterday which had SP 10/3 -Turf Time at Wolverhampton.
Still concentrating on All Weather racing, more consistent than NH racing at present ( possibly due to the snow )
was not able to get bet today but will look at tomorrow's cards as I am in a precarious 6th position in OLBG Pro tipsters league and need to push on.

Its not easy

Three all weather meetings on today, decided on one bet at Southwell. Took 10/1 early in afternoon and watched it win at 11/2. Now moved into 6th place in pro tipsters league on OLBG site. LSP £8.5.
Only half way through the month, just need to focus and get on top of the game.

Thursday, 7 January 2010

Back on track

Took 4/1 on 7/2 winner Bestowed at Southwell, now back in profit on OLBG pro tipsters league for January.
Might be few opportunities this week.

Wednesday, 6 January 2010

Bleak outlook

Finished December with LSP  £2.02 -  ROI 8.8% , but only 17th in OLBG Pro tipsters league for the month.
January not started too well LSP (-£2.5) and badly hit by abandoned race meetings.
Have decided not to join Betfair at present as no racing in sight for current week due to snow and ice.
